Fords were weighed down : lost tyre width too - and 6 years old. The Nissan would want to win with the biggest budget ever at the time.

@@Goober-o3n R32s were still incredibly dominant in JGTC, running in an FR layout instead of F4. It's a shame Group A didn't continue for touring cars, I'd have liked to see the Cosworth Escorts take on Godzilla.
