I was like "cool a daytona r/t with the 2.2L turbo III !" Nope ! I had dreams of doing this with the '90 spirit I used to own. I'm glad I didn't! The most modification I did to that car was swap out the burned up ultradrive trans with a 5 speed. This makes that attempt look like child's play.

We had a wine colored with grey interior 90 OR 92 Daytona when new. Pretty sure it was an ES model. It had a 3.0 V6. I was about 13 or so. We were 70mph on the interstate and I bumped it into reverse. Sparks were seen behind the car. It got fixed at the dealer. I stole it and took it out and about when I was 14-15. It had some crazy torque steer. I dont remember it having any traction control or rev limiter. We later got a 94 Formula TA. That was a better car except for gas cost.

I love these cars, I think they were underdesigned and underwhelming. Wish they had a better powertrain stock. I know wishing for a mopar power plant is kind of out of the question but I look forward to seeing this thing rip the tracks up. I hope you run them with them boys from the Freedom Factory. Next time maybe a GLH Omni?
