1992 F350 part 4 - Repairing door damage from mirrors
This truck had Jr. West Coast mirrors on it and the nut inserts in the doors had failed and corroded to the point that the fasteners could not be removed. The door sheet metal had weakened and cracked around them and needed repaired.

I am always at the amount of time you put into all of your repairs. Excellent work. You do things the way that I would want them done if I was doing them myself. I don't see how you could make any money working the way you do.

Tom Hallberg Unfortunately there is no flat rate guide for this stuff. Just go on experience and charge for the time it takes. Some folks hate aftermarket parts so this becomes the only solution sometimes

A lil tip, not that you really need any but take the MIG nozzle and cut about 3/16" off the end, bevel it a little bit and reinstall on gun. You'll have your contact tip out a bit to where you can get a much more precise placement of the tack. Just a trick I learned from an old timer. Just passing it along. Oh may turn gas up 5 but not really necessary

Good work. Doing a similar rust patch on the M5. The punch tool would have been great but wouldn't have fit inside the trunk lid. Had to make a square cut.

edm Probably the exact same part as Raybuck sells. Fit is usually darn close
