"Why? Because it's stupid." - Thank you hosts for that well considered, detailed take on the HUD.

It's laughable how the host says HUD is "stupid". Couldn't be more wrong! This GTP and the Nissan he mentioned were ahead of their time with this technology as many car companies offer it as standard or optional today. He also didn't do his homework before testing this car...and I imagine many others as well. GTP's came standard with rear bucket seats, that's clearly a center console and wasn't intended or designed for a 5th passenger. C'mon, really! How is he an automotive journalist when he can't understand the difference between a center console and a rear bench seat in a coupe? He should have mentioned if potential buyers didn't want a GP coupe with this particular rear seat setup, go for a lesser trimmed version like an SE. Again, not doing his homework and research. He also didn't come to a complete stop at that stop sign. If you're going to have a car review program, I feel as an automotive journalist, you should at least obey traffic laws, something he's obviously not capable as he just wanted to over exaggerate taking that turn so wide so that he could comment on how terrible the car's turning radius is. These guys are ridiculous!

i personally have a 1991 pontiac grand prix gtp the exact same as in the video besides it’s blue! i love this car over honestly. i love the HUD it’s just a feature to have and to flex about haha. i personally love all the buttons everywhere is why i bought the car. very retro late 80s into early 90s. it runs like a dream and i love it! i agree with you though i think they were a over dramatic about all this but it’s a real fun car

@@Justin-rb9zm Nice, GTP's are awesome! I've built up a parts hoard for one, things like hood vents, bumper valences, emblems, and grills. I want one someday. I also have some HUD parts just in case. I currently have a 93 STE that's optioned with the "stupid" HUD! Currently undergoing restoration on it's LQ1.

I have a FULLY Loaded, One of One, 92 SE that looks and mostly IS a GTP and I bought it NEW in 92! Yes, it really is a One of One as all the options I got when I ordered it, NO one else had it made like I did mine! Had the car for 0ver 30 years, and Love it. It is Now my show car. Even my Father Loved the HUD back when it was new!

It has the same door handles as my 89 Chevy Beretta. My cousin had a 99 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, but hers was super charged. It had the HUD option as well.

It would take Nissan like 8 more yr to get the 3 liter VQ to get to 200hp.

Algorithms brought me here. Have no idea about this program ! This particular car is for me one of the best looking cars ever made by Pontiac! This car needed a manual transmission though!

I LOVED my HUD on my 1992 Grand Prix. Every car should have HUD for safety. I would buy another one in a second. All my friends loved it too.

That car is so cute. I bet all the ladies that bought one fell in love with it. Too bad there are so few left.

I remember these two... no wonder I stopped watching them. Imagine, HUD being stupid. I owned the exact car, a 1992 GTP, but mine was blue & looked amazing. I had more compliments on that car than any car I ever had. The seats were the most comfortable as well, could adjust them any way I liked.. simply amazing comfort. Highway cruising was great & fuel consumption wasn't that bad plus gas was cheap. These guys are so smug, but if you don't live with a car more than a few test drives, you certainly can't make an accurate review. That car was ahead of its time and if I could have any car I ever owned brand new, it would be that car.

Make fun of the GTP all you want, fine. But to call the HUD stupid is the the most pathetic luddite thing imaginable. Lmao.
