Wayne Carey made his only State of Origin appearance for SA and starred in what was an awesome contest. Also features the famous "Tony Hall Pocket" goal.

1989 Victoria fielded Terry Daniher and Jason Dunstall. SA repaid the favour by playing Wayne Carey and Nathan Buckley by 1992. If Victoria did not have a cry we would have seen potentially the greatest game ever played by 1995. Everyone talks about Victoria’s forward line, but imagine SA with Carey, Kernahan, Modra and D Jarman getting the pill of Platten (best genuine rover the game has seen) Bradley, Buckley, Wanganeen, McDermott ect. It would have been the best game of football ever played!

Absolute disgrace that bloody AFL has abandoned The State Of Origin series and much as i hate Rugby but i give em there dues when it comes to State of Origin between Queensland and NSW who still show passion for there series and rightly so and shame on the AFL. 🤦‍♂️😡
