3 years later, still the best value for money export. Paid 12k for mine (already in the US), has LSD and a rare grey leather interior. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned.

This is a stunning example of an Aristo. These were the days when Toyota quality was on a different level.
@PacificCoastAuto7 жыл бұрын
Right. These days pretty much all car companies make decent cars but back in the 90s Toyota seemed to be a good 5-10 years ahead of most brands in terms of quality.

Hi everyone, this was my car! I absolutely loved it. I ended up selling her about 2 years ago. And boy do I regret it! This was such a clean car. When it did arrive I had to put in a new alternator and battery, after that just routine maintenance and she was an awesome daily for a year. Had to let her go when I was going overseas for work. Wish I had kept it in storage while I was gone; doubt I'll find another Aristo as clean as this one was. And that interior smell was just intoxicating...

The broken cup holder in the center is a very JZS147 'thing'. Toyota used cheap plastic tabs to secure the cup holder and they all broke at some point in the cars life. Both of my GS' had useless cup holders as a result. The car otherwise is typical 90s Toyota, overbuilt and pretty much a tank. Now is the time to get these before people realize this is a gentleman's Supra.
@PacificCoastAuto7 жыл бұрын
Good comment. This is the first 147 I have seen with the broken cup holder but we only bought 4 of them so far.

My 147 doesn’t even have cup holders in the center console. I assume that’s a good thing.

The 2JZ is mostly known from the Supra yet that does not make it correct to call it a "Supra" engine. The 2JZ-GTE came 2 years before the Supra in the 1991 Aristo.

Derek, you should demonstrate the strange heated/ultrasonic side mirrors, there should be a button near the power folding button. The screeching sound is suppose to make rain/snow fall off easier!
@PacificCoastAuto7 жыл бұрын
I have never tried it in real life but in a few videos, I press the button. I will splash some water on in the next video and try it out. Thanks for the great idea.
@fpsColton7 жыл бұрын
PacificCoastAuto Haha to be honest, I don’t think it really works. Especially considering I’ve never seen the feature on Celsior or even the jzs161 Aristo.
@slepenok7 жыл бұрын
had this option in my Aristo, it shakes a few drops off a mirror, but most of the water remains in its place. but it's cool nevertheless ) and mirrors are also heated, so they become dry in a few minutes. funny thing is you can't turn the heating off. if you press the button again, it will activate this ultrasonic cleaning again, and heat will turn off automatically in 5 or something minutes

I've always thought this was the best looking generation of the gs/aristo...but I've always known that giugiaro penned this, so that's probably influenced my perception of it.you also speak to a few thoughts that are showing up in the comment thread. i'll throw my 2cents in here: this engine in a gs (or a gs interior in this car) with aftermarket shocks & springs would make for one amazing vehicle!

I know it’s an old video but it’s not the Supra Engine. It’s a 2JZ-GTE but the Supra got some extra Modification in the Cylinder Head and the Intake.

Wow, this Aristo looks pretty mint. You guys have been buying some really awesome cars recently, last week with the 1JZ-GTE Soarer, a few days ago with the Celsior, and now with the Aristo. The trifecta of the JDM "Lexus" cars! I also agree with Derek that this car would look great with some 18" rims, but to be honest, I kind of like these stock rims. Makes the car a bit more like a sleeper, despite the lower stanced and aftermarket exhaust. Also, I know you mentioned this being a special color; but any clue as to what this actual color is called? I'm really digging it.
