Have you heard of the new GM 4valve on the way? GM new the whole time the for mod motor like 4.6/5.4 4 valve V8 was ahead of it's time. Finally the ditching the push rod Ls. 😂. Love it tho as a Ford guy Gm out did themselves with their new DOHC Lt motor.

I love the sound of that motor at high RPMs. The ZR-1 is what got me into Corvettes, I just couldn't find one. It's okay though, I fell in love with TPi. A lot of people say turbo, I say no. C4 motors are so packed into the engine compartment it's a complete PITA. Do a centrifugal supercharger. Put it where the A/C is. You don't need that, right?

Pretty normal for an LT-5, motors pull in oil through the plenum via the PCV at higher rpm...decel.

Love the LT5 and always will. Had so many vettes and the one that i havent is the ZR1. Its a great buy and will someday be a collector. I held back because after long talks with some of the ZR1 registry guys from palm springs, parts are hard to come by and many have bought up the full motors from GM so there isnt anything left. Has that changed? if so, i will definately look at getting one.

391 Rear wheel horsepower, they were unable to find tach reference so no torque #s. That is untuned

Nice soundin' car :D The new Mustang 5.0 actually sounds a lot like this...shame it took Ford 20 years to get up to the level this 'vette is on. I always wanted one of these when I was a kid, I have an '11 5.0 Mustang though and I like it.

crazy4honda I know this is an old comment but this car was 15-16 years old at that time, gms valve seals weren't necessarily the best back then, but the car obviously runs great 👍

+crazy4honda Yeah dipshit, that same GM C4 ZR1 quality set 5k km, 24hr, and 5k mile World Speed Endurance records with a STOCK car, in addition to numerous FIA records. Those records were only eclipsed years later by a one-off purpose built race car. NEVER been eclipsed by another production car. Those engines were BULLETPROOF. Get a clue before you talk shit like you have any idea what you're talking about.
