Lovely looking Class C motorhome. I'd buy it if it were sold here in the U.S.A. I love the non-turbo diesel engine powering it. 0-60 mph doesn't matter to me. Durability, reliability, and serviceability are the most important.
@maxpaga81247 жыл бұрын
I totally agree! These japanese engines really does have a good reputation in contrast to big GM v8's.
@jasoncarpp77426 жыл бұрын
I agree. Why small displacement (2.0-3.0 litres) diesel engines aren't allowed to be sold in the USA is beyond my comprehension. I'm all for clean air emissions, but this is ridiculous.

One thing to watch out for is rust if the joints between the body and FRP was not properly maintained over the years. A friend bought one and the A pillar had severe hidden rust because the silicone seals were leaking and letting water into the frame.

i can say the japnese built mk1 td27 are bomb proof we got now two japnese import d21 and own one we've had for 19years (its a rare topspec 1990 model aswell) now its not the fast but it just keep going and going and are built like tanks sadly you do have to watch for rust on them and the main gearbox bearing those are the two only faults whats weird about that one is its a late 1993 but its got a black top from what i know the black tops were introduced around mid 1994 would love to have the money to import some more d21s cause in the uk they have either rusted or scrapped for their engines (mostly the td23,25 and mostly 27)

Most Americans balk at the sight of a manual - but a column shifted "five on the tree" is something even I never knew existed. That's COOL, and likely the best theft prevention ever.

Maybe I wasn't specific enough as I know all about the old three-on-the-tree column shift transmissions. My point was: I've never seen a column shift 5 speed.

Something tells me this guy doesn't know a whole lot about campers.... when y ou fold down the table, the cushions slide down and across to form the rest of the mattress. Also, the bed on top is SUPPOSED to have a 2 part mattress. Of course, those were taken by the previous owners who probably bought another one of those campers, newer and in better shape. Too bad it's not legal here in the states. I'd love to have one of those!

@黒キツネ-九零二一零7 жыл бұрын
Mallory McGuire It is legal. the police and/or gov. won't know the difference. if it's sold in the us, it doesn't matter what year it was made. Just like the Toyota supra, mazda rx7, etc.

Why is this vehicle not allowed to be imported into the U.S.?
@PacificCoastAuto6 жыл бұрын
(Andrew) This camper is an October 1993 model, so it's not legal for the US until October of 2018. To be importable to the US, vehicles must be 25 years old, dating from the month of manufacture. The rule for Canada is 15 years from the month of manufacture.
