One suggestion. What a lot of us KZbinrs love to see for sure on RV walkthroughs is a view for a few seconds (not just for one second) of the entire RV recorded from the front cab so we can sense how the entire thing looks in one video shot. You almost did that for a brief moment at 10:23 and then for whatever reason you got cold feet and panned the camera down when you were going to give a quick view of the back from the front cab. Otherwise, we just see everything in sections and we don't have perspective. You know.

Rapido make excellent campers in France that's why the campers door is on that sides as their product sell in Europe where they drive on the right too. Even the models they sell in the UK have the door on that side even though the UK drives on the left. Most camping cars have that style of window too its more durable than the flat glass alternative offered here in canada less susceptible to damage from stones thrown up from the road. I've a new campers here in Canada but compared to the European models I had when I lived there its a bit of a museum piece. The dealers attitude was its worked like that for a thousand years so no need to change it for the next thousand. I'd like to import a Hymer even with the 15 year rule it'd be some piece of equipment

Your comment, plus the French writing and "F" (for France) placard is probably why the auction inspection person alleged it was an import... Probably because it technically was, depending on how you look at it. Rapido bought the van cutaway from Mercedes and then upfitted the RV body... So even though this may have been built by Rapido specifically for Japan (RHD/speedometer in km/h [which almost all RHD countries use EXCEPT the UK, which mostly have speedos like US cars with big MPH and small km/h]), it may have been "registered" in France by Rapido since they were not technically the manufacturer... which is not the case in the US... The "manufacturer" is technically the upfitter [or whoever performed final assembly], even though the state would likely register it as the incomplete vehicle make/model (for example, I found a rare [but not very desirable] Grand Prix Turbo, which the VIN sticker [that says basic info and it complies with federal laws, etc.] said it was "manufactured" by ASC McLaren... Obviously it was built by GM/Pontiac, but ASC McLaren did the "final" assembly... Is likely it was registered as as a Pontiac).

Based on the shape of the bracket for the front number plate and the fact that the speedo is in km/h this may have been an import from Australia. Edit: Also noticed the electricity input is 220~240V which could support this theory too.

More than likely exported to Japan from France where Rapido are manufactured.

Only issue is the vitos and sprinters rust like hell over here in England. After only a couple of years as well. Of all the vans I've had the vito was by far the worst. Probably the most expensive also

I wonder why they cahnged the name from Sprinter to Rapido. Maybe because of Toyota Sprinter Trueno? Or Toyotas trademark for the name at the time?

Doing what you do seems like it can be a toilsome way to earn a living. Sales of course means dealing with humans and the vagaries they bring not to mention you also have to deal with the bureaucracy of export which drives men mad alone. And on top of that you make these competent videos and alot of them. Im just saying i appreciate your effort and work ethic.
