That Wessel-Werk EBK290 powerhead did quite well! Quite advanced for the time aswell, having a life time belt and a squeege. I really wish Numatic wouldn't have bothered with the whole Turbocare nonsense and would have just continued offering optional Wessel-Werk powerheads for their models, maybe even with more elegant electric hoses and direct connect wands so you don't have to deal with the long clip on faff.

It is a really good little power head. I think the reason they ditched it was all cost cutting. They had to import these expensive heads to use with their branding and adding the power take off socket, was an expense to put on Henry, when the majority of people didn’t bother buying it. So when there were cut backs, that was one of the things that had to go.

Yeh! Good isn’t it. They did away with it after 1999. All Henry’s prior to that, had it, though. 🙂

Great job! I still think the UK missed out by not having more vacuums with power heads, unlike our American cousins. Your house must have to cleanest carpets in the North West, but my goodness you’re a messy after - crumbs everywhere! 😜🤣
