Damn, I've always LOVED these Super Custom Hiaces ever since I've laid eyes on one in Australia years ago. They're hugely popular over there(for good reason, the engine and drivetrain are tough enough to withstand abuse in the outback and come factory-equipped with loads of stuff that make it a super-easy camper conversion). Too bad these never came to Singapore and the current 200 series Hiaces no longer come with all the toys, even in the top trim levels. Hope more people will keep these Super Customs running for many more years to come.

I test drive a 2wd hiace 3.0 diesel today in va. I absolutely loved it same color interior super super nice. And it is as quiet as a 98 jetta TDI or better. The power is perfect @ 70 mph I was running 2600 rpm. I want a 4wd so bad now.

Since I started looking in February 2018, auctions on the 2.8L NA diesel version have ranged from $2500 - $8000 USD depending on condition/mileage. You have to factor in another couple thousand USD for fees/shipping/customs. I won an auction after searching for 6 months and got a great deal on a low mileage 1991 Super Custom Limited, most likely due to the paint not being in great shape. Will remedy that in short order once received! It's hard to say if the KZH106 models will command a higher price for the 3.0L turbo diesel engine paired with full-time 4wd (via viscous coupling center diff), or if the part-time 4wd with the 2.8L diesel is more desirable (can run in 2wd until you need 4wd, plus locked 50/50 front/rear power distribution is more rugged). It was a tough choice for me, the 3.0L diesel only became legal in the USA in August 2018, so it was really off my radar until the very end of my search. I was also quite partial to the LH107's maroon interior!

That would be the H200 Toyota HiAce Superlong Widebody Highroof (トヨタ・ハイエース・スーパーロングバン・ワイドボディ・ハイルーフ) or just Grand Cabin for short. Overall length: 5,380 mm (17.65 ft); width: 1,880 mm (6.16 ft); height: 2,285 mm (7.49 ft). Unfortunetaly in Japan they are only sold as passenger vans. In Singapore (and probably in other Southeast Asian markets) the Hiace is available as a commercial van. It's a Toyota Hiace Highroof and has the same dimensions as the Japanese one. The cargo area is (lenght) 3470 mm (136.6") x (width) 1730 mm (68.1") x (height) 1635 mm (64.3" ) = 9.8 m3 (~ 346 cubic ft) In Japan there's also a bigger variant called Super Highroof (スーパーハイルーフ) which is 10 cm (4") taller, but it's only sold as a base for an ambulance.

Here in NZ that just isnt a problem. Ive owned quute a few diff Hiaces incl Duper Customs. and any part you want for them regardless of year and model is availiable. Incredibly popular vehicle here.

When importing cars they have to wait till it’s 25 years old to get their favorite Japanese cars. I wish I had a better understanding but you’d probably want to look into it yourself.

@@josephsamsor1698 That's just to oppose the competition because it is known world wide that Japanese automobiles are some of the most durable,dependable and reliable and far superior to American automobiles. I will get an old 1993 Japanese automobile,before i get a new 2019 American automobile any day! I am speaking from personal experience. I have had two American vans. Chevy and ford and they didn't last as long as my Toyota which took a lot of abuse and was still running for many years with no major issues besides regular maintenance.
