Oh Man I have had Toyotas for over 15 years and bought them in pretty rough shape (I flip them), one thing I would recommend to all who get cars like this that have been sitting outside is to check the wiring and with a knife split and check the end of the wires, i had some issues with that and when checking the wires were full of corrosion inside and looked ok from the outside, it causes horn, lights, starting issues, hazard and turn signal issues, so if you see one or two wires full of corrosion, try to get a healthy harness from a junk yard and you wont regret it, usually these cars have their known issues easy to repair but corrosion is almost present in all of them if they seat outside when its moldy. Good detail :) thx for sharing

Your return is a good thing! The Toyota looked terrific when you finished detailing it. Thank you,

It’s great you showed us the engine bay wash and outcome, I like this just as much as the body work. A lot of utubers don’t even show the engine bay, it’s the ultimate detail in my opinion

Man I used to put those striping kits on in the early 90’s. Takes me back I love these trucks. Sharpline was the name of the company that made those kits. They rarely lasted that long. That was neat to see one in such good condition. I also had an 86 p/u 2wd. My favorite vehicle ever. I love the pull style parking brake

Nice memory about "Sharpline". In the late '70's/early '80s we had a regional(?) company called "Trimline Design" if I remember correctly. My memory is that they prepped many/all the new Toyotas/Hondas etc before the dealers presented the vehicles for sale. They did great work.

First of all, I am so jealous, because that is the very truck that I have always wanted, but never have bothered to buy. Second, of all the OCD restoration or detailing videos I have watched this is certainly one of if not the best. Lastly, my sister has a Toyota 4-Runner that’s pushing 400 K but it’s in excellent condition. If I manage to get my hands on it, I’m gonna give you a call to detail it 😂. Keep up the good work, I can’t wait to see your next vehicle!!!!!

for the rusted seat bolts, next time you may wanna try sea foams deep creep. it's a great penetrating oil that will break loose stuff like that in no time.

Add to how good this product is on dump trucks hauling asphalt the lug nut can get coated due to driver error or shit happens but it does a great job penetrating through the asphalt and on to the lug nut and stud still not as fast as a torch but seafoam deep creep throq kroil in the trash sea foam ftw
