I started out detailing cars for a collision repair shop when I was 17, then started doing body work and became a painter helper. I got tired of that so now I'm a mechanic. To be completely honest with you the most difficult job out of those was the detailing position. People don't understand how meticulous and detail oriented cleaning a vehicle really is. You do some great work man!

Well honestly that's a lot of the detailing market. Fancy/fancier cars of people who want it to look brand spanking new. Most of my customers are just like that, so that's what's going to be featured on youtube for the most part. You can't exactly ask detailers to turn their customers away because their cars aren't too dirty, and they need dirtier cars for their youtube videos.

@@alibobobaba1337 to be honest, as I actually do this... People with old cars aren't trying to pay that kind of money to have their car done. It's not like okay I'll do your moldy truck inside and out for $200. What he did here would run you at the absolute minimum $700, again ABSOLUTE MINIMUM (if he charged less than that he's ripping himself off). The only reason you see old cars like this is if some old guy is gonna work on it. Or, slightly older cars that parents pay for so their kid can have a nice old car.

I’d just returned from Lebanon in 1984, post Marine Barracks attack tour....I wanted a 4x4 and one of my troops swore by Toyota. I went down to Colonial Toyota in Virginia Beach and ordered an 1985 SR5 Mirage Edition....in darker grey. My favorite vehicle of all time, if nothing else for the memories. I put 450k on the clock-even rebuilding it after rolling at the beach in Sandbridge-rust cancer finally took its toll, but I still was able to sell it to a young Sailor who wanted to rebuild it as a surf-fishing rig. I’m 66 now, retired, and drive a 2020 Tacoma that I specced out as close as I could to my ‘85, with manual tranny, sunroof, buckets (and now considering an after market bed roll bar!!). While I love this truck, I doubt I’ll be around long enough to build the same memories with this truck as I did my ‘85. Watching this brought back those memories...and I’d like to think that my ‘85 is still out there crossing the dunes, chasing stripers and bluefish, and building memories. Thank you so much for this video...Bravo-Zulu, young man....well done!!

Was surprised I still owed my Toy (remembered when I bought it & when I went off a 20' cliff, landing on my roof in '92). Shocked it hadn't been stolen yet (because the solid axle is so in demand). Ever since he told me that, I now park my other 4 vehicles in front of it so it's impossible to get off my property. It was concealed by a hedge that I took out 2 years ago. Despite living on a circle with no thru-way in a very quiet retirement community 15 miles from town, I get 1-4 complete strangers a month knocking on my door to ask if I'll sell it. I put a big NFS sign on it but my Homeowners Association made me take it down. I'll have that truck til I die. p. s.
