Cowboys coming off a bye week after losing in a MNF classic to Detroit. Redskins were absolutely helpless against the Dallas machine. Charles Haley was unstoppable.

This game CLEARLY shows why if he was not in a car accident a couple weeks later, Erik Williams WOULD have been in the Hall of Fame. I still think he should be in there but this game showed the dominance of the Oline.

Felony Strutter Espically with the " Triplets" in the mix. 😊 This was the year they introduced the " Double Star" uniforms. The OG version. It's crazy the Redskins swept them in 1995. First meeting in RFK when Troy Aikman was injured, and the second meeting at Texas Stadium in the " December from Hell" soap opera for the Cowboys.

The Double Star jersey were worn first 1994 Thanksgiving Day. The BLUE Double Star jerseys were worn in 1995 (@ Wash and @ Philly) The game previous this Redskins game they wore a variation of their Inaugural jersey vs the Lions. It was not the same exact model and the nameplate was highlighted and honestly the jerseys from 60-63 did not have a nameplate. It always frustrates me when people get our "double star" jerseys mixed up. We never wore the pants leg though, they were only worn in the movie "Little Giants." The last time they wore the official white double star jerseys was pre-season 1995 at Denver. Then the NFL owners got pissed off about how many jerseys we had. The blue double star jerseys were worn 1995 @ Wash and @ Philly. They would not see the light of day again until Thanksgiving 2001 and 2002, Now our "COLOR USH" jerseys are essentially our white double star jersey. The throwback's wehad been wearing on Thanksgiving ARE NOT "double star." ALL of this can be proved on GRID IRON DATABASE. This blue jersey here were never worn again after the Cardinals game. Felony Strutter i know the history mostly of the jerseys. I miss the OG version of the double star I'm trying to get the whole 'STARTER ' NFL jerseys collection back especially if it's the Cowboys I already got Michael Irvin and Jay Novaeck. They made a Throwaway style of the " Double Star " it was black Navy blue silver and white in 95 but it's was Starter who made it. But that's good info for young football fans

Erik Williams used to block Reggie White alone, no double team help...Cowboy teams that won 3 in 4 years were best team ever...people forget they had #1 defense too, just dominating all sides of the ball.

The Redskins were completely rebuilding and they were no match for the Cowboys. It would take a couple of season before they had a winning record, but this was a slaughter with a rookie QBs versus a two time defending champion and it showed.

I would argue that if the Cowboys brought this roster to Candlestick for the NFC Championship Game, the Cowboys would have been the first team to win 3 consecutive Super Bowls. This win against the Redskins was followed by a 38-3 destruction of the Cardinals and a 24-13 win against the Eagles. A week after the impressive victory over the Eagles, Erik Williams was lost for the season (e.g., car accident), and entering the 1994 NFC Championship Game, the Cowboys were a M.A.S.H. unit on offense. No Erik Williams, Emmitt Smith played with a pulled hamstring, Larry Allen had a severely sprained ankle, and Nate Newton played with a dislocated toe. In the 1st quarter of the NFC Championship Game, Dixon Edwards came out of the game with a separated shoulder. Fans can scream from the rooftops that Jimmy Johnson would have coached the team to a victory, but that fantasy ignores the fact that the Cowboys were 7 point underdogs, they were playing on the road, and that the 1994 49ers were clearly better than the 49er teams that Johnson coached against in the 1992 and 1993 NFC Championship Game.

@@jackduncan5442 The only reason why the 94 49ers were not 14-2, was because they had locked up home field advantage and played key starters sparingly in a Week 17 loss on the road to the Vikings. The 94 Cowboys did the same thing in Week 17, as they had already locked up the 2nd seed in the NFC. The 92 49ers D line was good, but with the additions of Dana Stubblefield, Bryant Young, and Ricky Jackson, the 94 49ers D line was better.

JACK: It's important to note that this was the 1st year of the salary cap, yet the Cowboys STILL went to back to back NFC Championship Games and won Super Bowl 30. Many Cowboy's fans don't fully embrace (e.g., "yeah, but Jimmy Johnson would have won Super Bowl 29 and 30") this tremendous accomplishment, yet conveniently ignore how the salary cap turned Johnson into merely a good coach with the Dolphins.

Had Jimmy Johnson been able to jettison Marino say after the 1996 or 1997 seasons & draft, sign in free agency, or trade for a veteran quarterback ala Jeff George, Mark Brunell, Warren Moon, or Daunte Culpepper in conjunction with drafting, trading, or signing in agency a franchise/pro-bowl caliber running back ala Fred Taylor, Edgerin James, Priest Holmes, Ricky Williams, or Ricky Watters instead of bums like Karim Abdul-Jabar, Cecil “The Diesel” Collins, & Lawrence Philips Jimmy would’ve had a SIGNIFICANTLY greater 38-26 win-loss record as Miami Dolphins head coach & EASILY would’ve advanced past the AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF game which he was unable to do during his tenure as Miami Dolphins head coach because he built a championship caliber defensive unit with the likes of Hall of Fame defensive end/linebacker Jason Taylor, future Hall of Fame middle linebacker Zach Thomas, & shutdown coverage cornerbacks Sam Madison & Patrick Surtain which remained elite up until the 2004-05 season when weirdo Ricky Williams quit on the Dolphins prior to that particular season’s training camp to smoke the hippie lettuce (weed). Now put some RESPEK on my boy Jimmy Johnson’s name thank you very much sir. Just my $0.02 & a little food for thought.
