This is a perfect video man. I have a 97 Accord wagon with F22B2 and its automatic. A 94 Sedan 5 speed and F22B1 will be the organ donor. Only concern is if gauges will work properly, and if i must use a jumper harness. I also noticed Vtec wiring was not mentioned, which tells me the accord you are working on is also Vtec. The new motor is obd1, old motor used a crankshaft position sensor, where new obd1 motor uses cam position sensor within the distributor. Not sure if I'm correct, but that will not let new motor fire up with old accords computer. I'm confused about that part, I'm literally doing same swap as this is typed. ✌

Hey not sure if this is true of all 5th gen accords but when i was swapping my motor recently in my 94-95 I tried to use an auto rear mount bracket it it saw about 3-5 inches to high to bolt up to the engine mount. Thankfully I was able to pull the intake support bracket and swap them out while the engine was in the car although it was a bear.
@DaeganJones2 жыл бұрын
As I have watched further into the video I notice you just jacked the front of the motor till it reached. I tried that but my innovative mounts where not letting it happen, these cars are all so modified I am not sure which way is correct haha. Thank you for all the nitty gritty info. I was angry when I swapped to good aftermarket motor mounts when I had to drill a hole in my car but now I know its my cars fault for being born an automatic.
@hush22performance12 жыл бұрын
I’ve noticed the EX and non EX rear mounts are different. That may have something to do with it.
@kazephotograph9202 Жыл бұрын
@@hush22performance1 Do you think i should pull the rear mounts off of an ex? I got the transmission out of one at my local junkyard, and thought about getting the mount and bracket but forgot. My accord is an LX.
@jacobcarbullido36912 жыл бұрын
I'd like to state something, the holes for the CMC are strapped for reference cuz Honda made conversions easy. The whole for the trans is already stamped same as the CMC. You just need to drill it out. It's the correct position to not worry about axles. Same with installing jdm intersection lights and rear mounted fog lights. Honda includes stamped and stencils already on the body/frame to do these things.

I’d figure I would say this regarding the T bracket. The auto and manuals are a bit different. Mainly because I’m currently doing the swap as we speak. The manual has 4 holes on the bottom and the auto only has three. You could drill out the fourth hole but nah fuck that

Should I go to my local junkyard & pull the transmission & other parts of an Integra that's been totaled from rear end damage or buy a kit?
@hush22performance13 жыл бұрын
You can try your luck at a junk yard with an Integra but if your also needing the transmission, shift linkage, intermediate shaft and ECU it would be wise to get there as soon as the vehicle arrives (as in same day). That usually requires an insider tip to know when it’ll be out. Those are parts MANY are after. As far as the pedals go, chances are high they will be available.
@westhouse46414 жыл бұрын
On the driver side engine mounting bracket, the part bolted to the engine, is the stud thats in it flush underneath with the bottom of bracket? Basically im trying to tell if my stud is pulling out of that bracket, someone unfortunately put a stud in the bolt hole of that bracket, so there are 2 studs in the engine bracket and the bolt side doesnt tighten down flush, i can feel underneath the bracket and the stud is recessed in the borehole of the bracket. The stud that was erroneously added is flush with the bottom so im worried the stud that should in fact be there is wallowing out the bore or backing out.
