1994-1998 Mustang Multi Function Turn Signal Switch Replacement DIY

Replacing the integrated combination multi function turn signal / windshield washer / wiper control / high beam switch on my 1994 Mustang Cobra. This procedure is similar on 1999-2004 Mustangs as well.
Here is the part I used, which is correct for all 94-98 Mustangs

I followed the instructions of a Motor Trend video before finding yours. It showed to remove the key barrel, while doing this i pressed on a connector and broke it and the car would not start anymore, just crank. Also remove three screws not four,they were wrong.I could not remove the top plastic panel so i knew that something was wrong and i looked for an other video and found yours. Right method, simpler, i fixed the connector and everthing works. If i could i would give you many thumbs up.

I've had to do this several times on a few different mustangs. It's pretty easy aside from disconnecting the wiring clips. That's easy as well just don't be ham fisted or fat fingered lest you accidentally break one of the plastic tabs which are surprisingly brittle especially in an older car. Enjoy your ponies!!!

Spray the markings with clear coat (preferably matt finish) before installation. Prevents the white markings from rubbing off easily when cleaning with a wet rag, etc.

I had the same problem it was a yellow 20 amp fuse went out

Where was the fuse box?? Up under the hood or under the steering wheel.

I changed mine and still have my problem. Push down my hazard switch everything except hazards works.when it is in the up position nothing works. Any ideas?

I have 97 mustang when it is cold outside and the wipers come on and do a full cycle.. everything works fine..any ideas how I can fix the problem?

My blinkers stop working and I checked my fuses an it blew so I put new one and blew that one to so it took a 30 amp to work and then stop working after a while then I checked the fuse and it wasn’t blown so?

Wow, putting a larger fuse in is not your answer as this just overloads the wire with more current. Now the 30amp fuse is still good but you fried a component/wire in the process! The wire is only rated for a certain amperage so you exceeded that with the size fuse you put in. Look for your electronic flasher now toast or your multifunction switch burnt or a wire in that circuit fried.

My brake lights and turn signals don't work, I was told it could be the turn signal switch. Is that true? I have a '97 Mustang Base btw

Believe it or not that is true. It all runs through this switch.

I bought on & still no wipers. I must have check the wrong fuse. Cut Twice...bought Moteocraft too. 70 bucks & it want the problem..Blaaaa,
