Can't believe it's been 20 years. Years do flyby fast. I am so thankful I had a chance to participate in this :) What a great fun group of people we had in this corps

The day before was fucking freezing, like 20 degrees with powerful winds for those of you who remember, so to see 45 on Turkey Day was a blessing.

Yes we had "Wind driven Snow Flurries" that day....

The Long Island Sunrisers drum and bugle Corps marched in 1967 in the Macy Day Parade and in 1968 the sun rises led the Macy Day Parade after winning the national championship in New Orleans Louisiana. Does anybody have a video of the sun rises during 1968 in the parade of 1968 that is the Macy Day Parade when we led the parade. Thank you and God bless America

Not sure if it's the same guy because of 20 years of aging (but probably the same guy) but him and those cymbals are still active in DCA. Hurricanes and Sunrisers in recent years.

That is Big Al from the CT Hurricanes. He just marched with the Troopers Alumni corps a few days ago carrying the same size set of plates

@@tubaman6226 the sun rises back in 1966 through 1968, will the first Drum Corps Thomas to use large symbols, and play them and spin them all through the entire show. They were dubbed the dynamic duo, by Mo Knox oh, he was the famous newspaper photographer for Drum Corps World and many other drum corps Publications. There's a photograph of the two symbol players in volume two of Drum Corps history, in the sunrise a segment of the book. Great memories today is February 28 2022.

Wondering who put together this program.....arrangements and street drill?
@tappanzeebridgemen96578 жыл бұрын
Tony Dicarlo was the principal director. The musicians were all representatives of numerous drum & bugle corps from across the US. Donny Allen was the head brass instructor and brass arranger. Drill writers... I forget. It's been a long time.
