1994 Ford F350 7.3 IDI Turbo Diesel truck cold start

Awesome truck man, I love that natural green color. My 95’ 7.3 has been sitting in the driveway for a year now due to wheel bearing and minor electrical needing some attention , it’s a huge bummer. Seeing videos like this is definitely motivation to get it taken care of

Nice looking obs. I almost ordered mine in that color. Its funny how different the idi and the powerstroke sound. I just started posting some short video of my 97 obs 7.3. I just got finished cleaning up some rust and painting the frame with mastercoat. Best trucks ever made! Good luck with yours. ✌️

Which is better Idi or powerstroke?

@hamza89868 Honestly, i never owned or drove an idi. I don't know the difference in horsepower, torque, or inherent problems w the idi. I would imagine the powerstroke is better, at the least, because it has a turbo. Either way, the truck itself is great no matter which engine is in it. You can always add a turbo to an idi.

I almost got a restored 87 dually with that idi. They also had a 97hd with the powerstroke so i went with the newer truck but i have regrets. No issues with the engine but the fuel tanks are incredibly hard to fill with any amount of diesel. The fuel burbs back up in the filler neck almost immediately and my switching valve is not working. 😂 Got stuck on the tank that doesnt properly read fuel level of course.

I am amazed at how well it runs and drives but it needs all of the typical obs truck issues fixed. They did a bunch of Superduty stuff like hydro boost and disc brake rear end but everything was done half assed and needs attention to be what I consider finished.
