What I like about it is 1: it’s old school 2: no def system ( killer of diesel p/u trucks) 3: No EGR valve and EGR cooler ( another killer of diesel p/u trucks) 4: no cp3 or cp4 fuel pump (another killer of diesel p/u trucks) 5: worry free going down the road the way p/u trucks are meant to be! Great rebuild, like the way it turned out!

One word: Badass.....Of all the Dodge/Ram trucks, that grille is my favorite, a statement in simplicity, and the new headlights really set it off. Beautiful detailing and upgrades. Love the paint on the 6-bt! Clean lines on the vintage trucks -- no weird body creases, no excessive chrome, all the "styling" things I hate about all the new trucks.

Nice job. I've been in the restoration business since 1993, probably when that truck was new. Only things I would've done differently, for several reasons, strength, safety, and ride quality, is I would've boxed the frame to get coil up front, and push out the spring perches wider for stability. And incase you get hit, boxing the frame, plus maybe caging it, would give you and your family peace of mind, and tieing the cage into the frame. These trucks fold so easy in the event of an accident, it would blow your mind how easy. Their made of mild steal, all the way from the frame to that sheet metal. Other then that beautiful truck. And oh ya, I recently just purchased a 2010 unicorn with 56k on it. This is my forever truck, and I plan on caging it. It will also save rare body parts in the event of an accident

Anytime and yes, I drive & love a 2WD '97 Ram 2500 with a 5-speed too, with the same P7100 and putting out about 300 horses based on an open 4" pipe, a S&B intake system and a different plate in the fuel pump, getting ~ 22,5 mpg even after Obimi's stupid idea to put water in the fuel. Put the hammer down and stay safe!

My neighbour a lady has a dodge ram dual wheel i think it is around 2000 model it has a L10 Cummins and Alison 6 speed in it the turbo on it sounds awesome it has a massive exhaust on it i know her brother built it for her the engine came from a garbage truck she pulls a carnival ride and a big horse trailer with it i think he may have lifted up the cabin i know he has a Kenworth with a 12 inch cab lifted up sitting on air bags it has a bigger engine and radiator hence the reason he lifts the cabin up i first seen a mack he had done it to very smart you have a lot more clearance to plumb in turbo and exhaust system

Would have skipped the trim and bed liner and either gone with single stage red or the dark green with flake my 80 has. Looks killer even with most of it gone and the red when it oxidizes and starts to wear down is sick. That would be 30 years down the road for that truck but still just what i would have done different. Idk what it is about single stage paint but it just looks better in my opinion. Also cab lights it like really really really needs them

If you dont mind what lift do you have and are those 33 inch tires? Great job and great truck and turn out. I just got an 89 GMC Ext Cab K3500 single wheel 8 ft bed. I was told it needed a new fuel pump and slave cylinder needed bled, brand new clutch and fly wheel. Oh boy that was the nicest thing it needed. I got it 8 weeks ago and its been in the shop 6 weeks and still there and i still havent drove it. I dont have a shop or the tools o need exvept for minor repairs. Body is not beatup and a good detail paint will come out and shine again and little by little i will get it but i didnt expect to have to kill so many bugs all at once. It had factory 454 and was bad and the man i got it from was fixing it for himself and hw hurt his back and then got sick and had to stop and then here i came and he said them most favorite words ive got something o want to show you. He had just put a new 454 in it and it has a factory 4 speed bulldog transmission probly GMs best transmission they ever made. Interior good so you inspired me and i preciate it! You gave me some ideas so thanks for that to! Im going to put a pop up camper or topper into camper or something and would like to come up your way and maybe do some overlanding but it willbe a while but ive never been one to give up. Im disabled but i still get around and i have my days but i dont let it get me down and i keep putting one foot in front of the other om just a little slower at doing things than o used to but i am truly so Blessed i sure aint complaing! Your first video ive seen and it couldnt been a better one. Take care and i hope you and your family and everybody has a very Merry CHRISTmas!
