@@danlincoln8987 Agreed. Although Belmo is starting to slowly SLOWLY grow on me, I still will always root against each two handed bowler, UNLESS it's someone like Sean Rash bowling against them. And if it's Simonsen VS Rash, I just wont watch, period. I hate them both passionately.

I remember when Chris Warren made his last National Telecast. It was back in 2007 in Baltimore, Md. He was throwing a Brunswick Twisted Fury. He threw the ball SO WELL that night, only to lose in the opening shootout by one pin to Mike DeVaney.
@dr.anderson5320
@dr.anderson5320 7 жыл бұрын
Mike and Denny in the opening talk about what a mystery it is why Chris Warren has been struggling. It's easy to answer that now - reactive resin. With urethane, Chris, like Amleto Monacelli, created so much power that they made success for themselves. When resin came out, it took their advantage away.
@jerryczzowitz3384
@jerryczzowitz3384 7 жыл бұрын
Resin hurt nobody more than Del Ballard, he was already playing the roll out shot with urethane. So he had no chance with Resin.
@dr.anderson5320
@dr.anderson5320 7 жыл бұрын
Jerry Czzowitz Interesting. But now that you mention that, his career did kind of stall when reactive resin came out. No one benefited more from resin than Walter Ray Williams Jr. That change in technology MADE his career legendary. Pete Weber probably adjusted the best from urethane to resin.
@jerryczzowitz3384
@jerryczzowitz3384 7 жыл бұрын
I agree on both points, if not for the drug use Pete is probably the GOAT with 50+ titles. And further on my Ballard point , he won 13 titles from 86 to 93. So only 1 title after resin came out and he was just hitting his prime at 30 yrs old in 93 , so a real shame.
@dr.anderson5320
@dr.anderson5320 7 жыл бұрын
Jerry Czzowitz Agree. The late-great Earl Anthony called urethane "cheater balls." What do we call reactive resin? Has it destroyed professional bowling like many say? I recall an interview Pete Weber gave in response to resin - "now you can buy a big hook in a box. It used to be that you had to create it with talent, but not anymore."

I find it weird that that bowlers keep switching seats every shot. They can't just stay in one chair?
@ertpecsertpecs
@ertpecsertpecs 4 жыл бұрын
Cause the seat they end up in is the lane their next frame is on. The first seat they're on is the last lane they bowled on and not in the way of whoever is gonna bowl the next frame on the other lane. Good enough explanation for you?
@ww2079

I can't do anything but shake my head every time I see Vespi on TV. This was a sign of things to come when the depth of professional level players started to thin out drastically. How can anyone who at best would convert a spare like the 3,6,10 about half the time, possibly make the final round of a PBA event and actually win once or twice??? To me that's nearly miraculous, I'm sorry but this guy had no business bowling in these tournaments. The guy is just as likely to shoot 160 as he is 230, he misses every spare on the lane and threw how many crossover strikes in this show? It's just embarrassing to the PBA to me.
