Being a Steelers fan, the 94 season is one I'll never forget, beating Cleveland 3 times that season. Those were the days when Pittsburgh and Cleveland actually had a rivalry between each other. When Art moved the team to Baltimore the rivalry went with it. Now Pittsburgh and Baltimore is the biggest and most heated rivalry in the NFL today.

Phil Worley I’m a Browns fan and the 94 season was our last best season. I loved that team. They were on the brink of doing some good things within the few next years before Modell sent them packing.

Phil Worley Browns 1.0 vs Steelers was indeed a great rivalry. Even when the Browns never won at Three Rivers, they rarely laid down.
@RoadCone4114 жыл бұрын
Phil Worley Which is kind of the same thing: Today’s Ravens are yesterday’s Browns...who knows the Browns may have won a Super Bowl in 2000 had they stuck around.

That was quite a Pittsburgh team. They went to the Super Bowl in '95 but were actually better in '93 and '94... The following week, they just lacked focus against San Diego. I have no doubt that they were the better team, but San Diego was more focused and prepared on that day.

1994 was, sadly, the *only* winning season the Browns would have in their last six years in Cleveland before loading the moving vans for Baltimore at the end of the following season. Since re-entering the league in 1999, the Browns have had only two winning seasons: 2002 and 2008.

How many so-called Patriot fans knew that Belichick coached the Browns?
@aggie77566 жыл бұрын
Belichick was on to something when he was coaching the Browns. He was building a competitive team and was a few seasons from wining it all, and possibly creating a dynasty in the Browns. Heck, many people viewed the '95 Browns as a favorite to reach the Super Bowl. They obviously didn't, but they were on the verge of breaking out. But the sack of shit (Modell) had to screw everything up and moved the franchise to Baltimore. I remember this era...such a tragedy.
