Just a reminder. It took David Wise 5 whole weeks to port aquatic ambience onto the dkc cartridge. He had to meticulously record every sound wave and program them into each of the 8 sound channels to fit it on the SNES's 64kb soundchip. He only did this to get specific soundwaves to play on the SNES. He said it was sort of a gift to the devs and to show the world just how technically advanced dkc was for the time. First time I heard the song, it caught me off guard because of how clean and mesmerizing it sounded on the SNES.

My memory from when I was a kid is very bad. When I was an adult and suddenly remember that I used to like DKC games and their music I went back to them on an emulator, casually. When I first heard these songs I felt like this guy (despite being fake), stopped to listen to every single one of them at the same time that all came back, the nostalgia, the feeling of experience something similar that drove me back to older and better days. It was magic. Every now and them I put these songs to listen, it calms the soul
