FL v. ROLLING (1994) - A jury decides Danny Rolling's fate after he pled guilty to the horrid murders of four women and one man near the University of Florida campus in August 1990. Rolling, a drifter from Louisiana, is facing life in prison or the death penalty. His defense team argues Rolling was mentally ill when he committed the gruesome killings.

Danny forgot his wallet at Christa Hoyt’s apartment so he went back to get it , that’s when he decapitated her, and put her head on a shelf and the rest of body on the bed with the head looking at the body just To add to the chock value on whoever found her , poor policemen , discoverering christa like that , that scene must have haunted them for the rest of their life’s , Danny was a sick individual, anyone who praises this guy is equally sick ! Danny deserved everything that he got , yes he had an abusive childhood his father regularly beat him but still no excuse

In an interview Rod Smith said that during the trial he made sure to show Rolling the crime-scene photos every chance he got. Rolling didn't want to look and once he looked like he was going to be sick. I think the saddest figure in this whole tragedy was Gary Hoyt, Christa's father. Dianne Hoyt said he would often say "This was my little girl. And look what HAPPENED to her. Just tell me she died right away. Tell me she didn't suffer."

I live in a town across the bridge next to Shreveport where he is from. I worked with a girl who said he followed her and a friend all over Shreveport at night, he even sung to them outside her house. She is grateful that nothing happened to her and her friend. Scary!!!

Im from Shreveport, and lived only a short distance from where he did. He followed a female friend of mine one evening and asked her to get in his car... she said NO and ran away and hid from him in a stranger’s backyard shed for a while.

I'm vision impaired and the humming is to much for my ears. All I can say again today is the same as I said the days this happened. God bless those children and there families and friends. This still bothers me today as much as it did when it happened . I can't believe that there are humans walking among us that could do such things.

Yep. There’s not enough focus on how these monsters are created by bad/abusive parenting. No excuse: once he’s an adult, throw the book at him. But if we want to prevent this type of thing, it has to be intervened upon in childhood. Children are not protected enough and any abusive Joe Schmoe can have children. It’s not right.

There were SO many reasons this monster became a monster. Maybe, instead of people simply being "outraged", we do our best to learn why these things happen, so we can further prevent them.
