That red fan is beautiful. I remember the days when everyone in the family had a van pimped out. Couple of family members had a factory conversion. Others had vans that they had stripped all the interior out and redid hit themselves. And then custom paint job. It was awesome. What everyone showed up at Thanksgiving at Grandma's house. There were 8 to 10 conversion vans in the yard. Wow it was fun.

Body mods I see: Grille and bumpers paint to match, bumpers tucked in, grille is a stock grille with the GMC logo deleted - this may have required cutting out and replacing the center section - flares and spoiler, custom running boards, the door handles, the shaved drip rail, the nor-cal roof wing, the gas door, and the gullwing rear and side doors, plus those are about 94 Caddy taillights. Looks like mechanically it's a stock shorty van, I don't believe the short wheelbase could be had with a V8 at this point. Also the last year for them. This body style was made in 1996 only as a one ton van. I dig the monochromatic look on the grille, I just painted the headlight doors on my 1994 the same way. Grille is more involved to remove so that will come another day.

I literally do. I have a fishing camp on the bank of the Susquehanna river in NEPa and I live in my van which I park at the top of my spot. Wouldn't have it any other way. Happiest I've been my entire life at 52 so I'm looking forward to the remainder of my days filled with my dream of doing what I'm doing. I just need a good dog as my travel companion and my life will be complete

Looking at this vans interior gives me the impression it's a man's van. Very cool custom done with class and simple elegance. The only cool mod I would consider doing is gull wing doors. Love that wood floor too. Too bad you don't have the theme song in the vid "Lady In Red" Love that song.❤

On the gas door, body man should have put the factory dip where you would put your finger open the gas door on the bottom as well. Super subtle mod.

Love the van, but ‘4.3L V6, which I love because I get great gas mileage’. That’s how you know you’re in the US. Not uncommon to find similar vehicles in the uk powered by 2.5L diesel turbo, getting 40+ miles per gallon. It wouldn’t surprise me if by ‘great gas mileage’ you mean 15 to 20 mpg.

Wow nice that would be a torque monster but I would be more then happy with the 5.7 Vortec 350 or the 5.7 TBI 350.....the 4.3 Vortec V6 is a good, offers just enough power to do pretty much everything the V8 engines do but is more economical/affordable to run.....plus the sound of fireing up a chevy 350 V8 in the morning gets very addictive. ..
