I bought a 1995 taurus like this one back in 2015, it only had 93k miles on it, everything on it was new and it worked, the ac would be blowing freaking cold just seconds after you turn it on, you could do 85mph on the freeway and it would drive really smooth. Man I should have never sold it

It's a good place to hang an air freshener on your face mask we wore during the pandemic. Especially in a state where they don't like you to hang things from the mirror to block your view. I drive a Honda Element which has its which actually has its floor style shifter coming out of the dash similar to some vans. So I will just hang my mask there. We don't have laws against paying things in the mirror where I live but I just don't like to do that.

For those of us who will not compromise, Ford listened. They created Taurus, for us.
@houseofno3 жыл бұрын
If you think the original Ford Taurus lacked compromises, you're not looking hard enough. Still, giving credit where credit is due, this is the car that saved Ford in the eighties. When this car was being developed, Ford was hemorrhaging a billion dollars a day. Even today, that was a lot of money then, and a lot of money now too.

Funny story. When I was 8, my uncle rented a 1995 Taurus. One of the first things I noticed was it had an electric driver's seat. I had seen the movie "Planes Trains & Automobiles", where John Candy breaks a car seat, and says that it's impossible to break them. I wanted to see if it really would happen, so I kept moving the seat back and forth until it finally quit working. Man, was my uncle PISSED!

95 was the first year all trim lines of the Taurus came with a million mile odometer. I noticed it has ABS, 4 wheel disc brakes. Good basic transport for someone. They just gota fix the door dinger issue and they'll be ready to go. Surprising to see LX/SE multi spoke alloys on it. Those 3.8s, when running right, are some torquey engines.

First of all, I wasn't the one maintaining it. Secondly, it wasn't even a maintenance issue to begin with. ALL Essex engines are well-known for their defective head gaskets and are prone to premature failure. I'll bet the car in this video had them replaced as part of the recall.

I noticed my temp gauge will sometimes not go to the middle even after the cars been running for an hour and still stay closer to cold. But then other times it will run slightly hot like 2/3 of the way to fully hot/overheating and the cars only been on for 15 minutes. This usually happens with slower driving or idling. Is this normal for these cars?
