I had a 1996 Taurus GL, the second gen body and it had a great interior. Greatest interior of any car I've owned. I wish I had of had the digital cluster though. lol.

Taurus was out in mid 1980s first gen summer of 1985/1986 model- 1991, second gen 1992-1995, third gen 1996 to 1999/ 2000, third gen refresh 2000/2001 - 2007. Fourth gen 2007/2008- 2009 ( updated Ford 500) fifth gen 2010- 2019

Keyless was available on the GL, I had a 1995 sedan with keyless. Unfortunately it got T-boned. I currently have a 1992 GL wagon that doesn't have keyless.

I noticed my temp gauge will sometimes not go to the middle even after the cars been running for an hour and still stay closer to cold. But then other times it will run slightly hot like 2/3 of the way to fully hot/overheating and the cars only been on for 15 minutes. This usually happens with slower driving or idling. Is this normal for these cars?

You left out one trim model, there was the L model, I have a gen 2 1992 Taurus L it's the cheapest version with a non digital panel

It did still have a tilt steering wheel with a very similar design, but the horns where two buttons on either side above the cruise control buttons
