Good job on the video! Wasn’t sure if this was something I could do myself. Now I know I can. Thanks.

I did this on my k1500. Shit acceleration, had a new motor put in 5 years ago and thought the trans was going out. Put this little part in. And shifted like butter. Actually felt like a 350 v8 was under the hood. Thanks man!

You don't have to calibrate the TPS? I have to do that on my Honda's 🤔

When it idled high before you changed it, how high was it? When cold mine will kick up to 1500 and bog down if i let the clutch out.

When you put the new tps on did you slip it on and turn it right to make the bolt holes line up or did you turn it left ?

Great video!! mine is bogging down and a buddy told me to replace the TPS...I'm not mechanically inclined but this looks like a simple enough job that even i could do it. Thanks for taking to the time to make the video and I did subscribe to your page

Is the inside of the sensor spring loaded and moves as the plastic throttle position changes/rotates the pins? I have Opel Kadett and it uses the same sensor and on mine I can rotate the pins, but they don't retract back to original position. I believe they should be spring loaded and the black plastic from the throttle moves them, but just want to make sure. An answer would be greatly appreciated. Check engine is ON after I opened that sensor and there's no way to see what the code is since it uses old pins for OBD... Going insane.

I don’t remember for sure, but I’m pretty sure it is not spring loaded. I would have to take mine off and look at it to be sure tho
@deyoviC2 жыл бұрын
@@ziptiesandducktape7468 Nah, no need to take it off. Just asked if you remember. Most likely gonna replace it tomorrow and will have to erase the check engine to see if it worked. Thanks for the answer and have a nice day!

Hey I'm sure I'm way too late, but GM's OBDI system has two pins you can short to have the CEL flash the codes for you

What year is your Opal? Should have an OBD1 port ! Open a paper clip, and stick one end into the top right hole. Stick the other end of the paper clip into the top second to the right hole! These are the A and B holes! Turn on your ignition switch, but don’t start your car! Your check engine light should flash your code sw! Good luck!

Is there a foam o ring on the inside of that throttle body were you put that new sensor.

It looks like it in the video , I changed one of those sensors the other day and found a foam o ring like right under were I put the sensor and can't figure out for the life of me were the hell it came from

@@edwardkramer8738 How is yours running without the foam o-ring?I just changed my TPS sensor and also found a foam o-ring inside. The o-ring is in rough shape. I bought a new TPS sensor and it did not come with an o-ring and AutoZone could not find one in the system to sell me. Is it even necessary to use it .. Thanks #1994 C1500
