Hey man I just wanted to let you know how thankful of you and the time you took to make this video. Long story short my life is on one of those downward spirals that happens to us all. Seems like all 99 problems happens at once. My truck started to act super bad shifting and I thought for sure my transmission was going out. I was so worried and devastated with no hope for help. Real talk my soul was broken. I came across this video and figured I may as well give this a try. It worked!!!! Brother I can get to work a few more times now. Some of us fight and work so hard just for a little to nothing. That rusty truck is and will keep me going. Doesn’t have to be pretty just has to get me there. Much love from Indiana!

My 1995 GMC Sierra was holding gear till around 2500 rpm and then shifting hard . I replaced the TPS yesterday and it fixed it instantly . Couldn't be happier ! Thanks Ish Motorparts !

Just wanted to let people know. I have owned my 1995 GMC since 1995. Mine also did the same thing idle high harsh shifting. Tried changing the tps sensor helped for a week then came back. Turns out the wire plug going to it was wore out. Changed the pigtail and it never came back. Hope this helps someone.

I may try that because mine is intermediate. It'll change smooth from 1st to 2nd and then other times it'll shift hard again.

Just got. 96gmc sierra k15oo 5.7v8 350 auto trans this is exactly what is happening to my truck no doubt I’ll be replacing that part I thought it was an Iac valve replaced same problem now the tps sensor awesome video

If you talking about the one noise at the end of the video, it was the A/C and Heater Blend Door Actuator got stuck

Hello I’m having a similar problem on my 95 Silverado, the check engine light comes on and turns off sometimes ….and when check engine light comes up on the dash …. The engine will rev up high on the rpms and not switch gears from 1 to second gear and will switch later on and jump hard to 2nd. What weird that the light turns off after a day later drive completely fine. Also the transmission jumps when switching from reverse to drive.Do you think it’s the same problem? Please help

You may have warn transmission mount or worn ujoints on your driveshaft. Most likely transmission mount though. Its an easy and cheap fix.

I have a 95 chevy z71 my problem is it feels like it is stuck on a 3rd or 4th gear. At a stop sign or red light I will take off but it doesn’t change gears I feel nothing and when I get on freeway it only goes around 50 mph and nothing more but rpm’s are high. This should help to change all gears I hope. I need to try this.

Try changing out the ignition switch cable. The one that goes from your key switch to the bottom of your dash

Hmmm my 95 Chevy Cheyenne does the same thing, only in 2nd gear though the other gears shift smooth / Changed out the sensor no change.

Try to clean the throttle body and see your air filter its clean if nothing happens to the hard work replace the transmission fluid filter and silinoid valve in side the transmission after that if nothing happens then you need a new transmission or rebuild , sorry for not helping.

I bought 94 silverado, The car has been lying dormant for eight years , when I started to test drive, It shifts gears 1 and 2 very smoothly, but for gears 3 and 4, I have to press the gas pedal several times to change gears, When I looked at the transmission fluid it is full of bubbles, I will change the fluid tomorrow, Do you think the problem is with the transmission or other parts?

I don't think it's Transmission it self, it could be the ATF solenoid just make sure clean or replace that before you put the transmission back together

My truck is a 93 with the 4l60 it doesn’t shift out of first in drive but if i drop the gear to first and shift it manually to second it will grab second and if i shift it to drive manually again it will just lose the gear. Also my speedometer don’t work any ideas?

Hi Aaron, thanks the comments If it works manually, gave to be a Sensor could be a TP, VS, or WS, Sensor, in your case make sure you check or change that (Vehicle speed sensor, ) first and then move the next step if the problem not fixed yet

That have to be the throttle position sensor, Which that's what this video focused on But before changing it check the Air filter if its in good condition and clean

Well in this video as you can see that part I changed out that the Throttle Position densor) that should be your problem or just clean the entire Throttle body first

By changing the AT fluid and filter it could be the first I would do before spending more time and money on it, But again could be something very cheap and easy sometimes some of those things it's ABS, vehicles speed sensors, engine temperature sensor, and more more more, those could paralyze the transmission to activate or respond , Hope that doesn't confuse you Thanks for watching this video

Hola Juan, To me it sounds like the Fuel filter needs to be cleaned or replace it and also check any rubber fuel line make sure nothing bend or twisted Hope that helps

Check your Transfer case Speed sensor Make sure there's no broken wires if its looks good then take it out and test it you should see signal when by moving the little gear around start with that before you move on to something else big, hope that helps

Try switching out your ignition switch wire. Goes from the key switch to the bottom of your steering wheel. 100$ and it’ll bring back your rpm’s and speedometer
