Great info, never heard of the king cab glass mod of removing the rubber surround. Doesn't look half bad! Like you said a bit of a pain to get the king cab windows out forsure! Keep on truckin' ✌🏼

My bad if you already answered this but how did you manage to get the hinge to stay on the glass? I found a spare window assembly at the junkyard to try out and the hinge just fell off once I removed the rubber molding.
@ClintsStreetMachines3 жыл бұрын
My hinge adhesive was still intact but they make epoxies that work on glass and metal. Just make sure you clean the hinge out really well so the epoxy has a clean surface to adhere to. I have also used black silicon in similar applications with good results. On the upside, they should be easier to repaint when not mounted to the glass.

Did you do your cruising out here in LA back in the day, Whittier BlvD/ Pico Rivera?? lol
@ClintsStreetMachines4 жыл бұрын
Actually, yes. I lived in Alhambra and West Covina until 2014 and went to as many cruise spots as I could find.

Clint's Street Machines nice, I live here in Whittier and it’s making a come back...!!! I’ve been shopping around for a hardbody like yours with the king cab, but lots of junk for sale or they need a ton of work....and the ones that are decent they want a boat load of cash!!!
@ClintsStreetMachines4 жыл бұрын
@@mychan3734 I've noticed over the last 5 years or so that they have really gone up in price. I got a clean king cab with a blown engine for 750 about 3 years ago but haven't seen a deal like that since so I'm saving it for a future build. Keep searching and you'll find something that fits your wallet and your skill set. Love these trucks!

What color u use to match the stock paint I got one just like it, I will like to do something like this for now
@ClintsStreetMachines4 жыл бұрын
I actually used black paint anywhere I did body work, such as shaving the antenna. After sanding the primer smooth, I fogged on the black and drowned it in clear. Because the truck was a dark color, the black just blended in. Better explanation at 12:30 of this video. For the engine parts i used Black Night Metallic from Rustoleum in a spray can. And also a lot of clear. You can see that in this video...kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6ecppidataKotk

Threaded rivets? Please elaborate…
@ClintsStreetMachines3 жыл бұрын
Trade name nutserts. They install just like rivets but are threaded on the inside. Perfect for bolting into sheet metal. You can also put the screw in from the back with some loctite and make a stud. I could do a video I suppose.

Does that 3rd brake light fit a 94 Nissan pickup
@ClintsStreetMachines4 жыл бұрын
That was a universal tailgate bar. I had to make a gasket and wiring harness and used threaded rivets to attach it.

Did u buy the new bumper of eBay?like a taiwanese one?or did u get an original one?
@ClintsStreetMachines5 жыл бұрын
I bought an aftermarket import like the ones on eBay. It had some imperfections and the metal is not as thick. An original bumper would be higher quality and fit better. Thanks for subscribing!

@@ClintsStreetMachines No problem! The main reason I asked u was because I wanted to know if the aftermarket ones tend to rust??

I didn't see any rust on yours,, is it because u keep it in a garage and maintain it well or is it that good of quality??

@@ka.powered8328 The chrome was fine, it was other stuff. There was a tear in one of the corners that got chromed over, it was twisted a little. Just wasn't high quality but no rust issues.
