Thats were i grew up, colorado springs. Was an awesome modest town, not too big not too small, mountains everywhere. Now live further up in rual mountains away from all the California's and Texans that taken over the state

The 90's in Colorado were fantastic. Everyone on the East coast thought we rode horses and kept Prairie Dogs as pets. It was a quiet place. Now, totally destroyed. A shell of its' former self. Good memories.

Even in 2004 you could rent a 1 bedroom flat for less than $500. Nowadays $500 a month will only get you a 3x3 foot plot in a nearly-walk in closet of the 1 bedroom apartment of a washed up ex-porn actress from Van Nuys, CA. Christ, I wish I’d bought a house back then. It would be worth a fortune now.

@@BennyMcGhee I left Colorado in 2021. The average house price for a 2bd was $320,000. And the average rent for a 1bd 1ba in a fair neighborhood was $1,100/mo. Last I heard the 1bd was up to $1,400 and the 2bd home at near $400k. The most recent time to buy was in 2008-2012 when housing costs were half that. But something big is coming again. Be ready.
