Is it true the corp used 3/4 of the food budget for percussion equipment? My friends who marched that season said they ate peanut butter for a month.

I heard horrer stories on this group for 1995. Was told they had peanut butter for lunch and dinner for the final month.

I dont think that was the only year. The corps had issues feeding its members often according to past members/staff. Members sometimes got food after shows from friends in other corps.

@@drumcorpsfanthere was absolutely nothing wrong with Tang and chicken, broccoli, and cheese. LOL. Mom Smith along with all the other awesome parents did what they could with what they had. 93’ and 94’ weren’t so bad. We still had some “husky” fellas marching, so we didn’t quite starve to death. 😂
