We loved you Dennis Green and we loved you Korey Stringer those 90's Vikings were a magical and special team. They were fighters. Robert Griffith was a fighter, John Randle was a fighter, Cris Carter was a fighter. They always thought positive, always had a positive attitude. They never backed down to the Packers and always beat them at home no matter how much better their record was.

Hadouken Hadouken Bud Grant hard to live up to. We loved Denny but Gary Anderson kind of sealed the fate . Had he won a Superbowl or got there he would be right up there. Too bad. Nobody will ever overtake Bud though here. Still has an office at Vikings headquarters in Eagan ........91 yrs young. Nice Life!

Bud Grant was the GOAT in Vikings coaching. After that, I'd go with Jerry Burns over Dennis Green. Burns was 3-3 in the playoffs. Green was 3-8. Burns got a lot more out of his teams than Green did. Green probably ranks 3rd ahead of the current yahoo. If Mike Zimmer can get the team to a SB, he'll pass both Burns and Green.

gary anderson was immediately tackled by two falcons players as he kicked the ball which is a personal foul ROUGHING THE KICKER. so the blame is 100% on the cheating nfl for why the 98 vikings didn't make the super bowl. no viking is to blame, especially not gary. poor guy.

My take on this is that if the Vikings didn't give up their future in draft picks to the Cowboys for Herschel Walker, they'd probably have made it to the NFC title game in 1995 but not the Super Bowl.
