Back when shows had REAL presentation...that intro was classic - you would legit be hype for the game sitting there on the couch! People of today wouldn't understand actually getting emotion from something on tv like that. We took pride in knowing 'our team' was playing on national tv not just local and we rooted extra hard on Monday nights as it was the last football you'd get till the weekend SIGH

Compared to the next year where the Eagles played them tough and had that goalline stand, the Cowboys here were still dominant and winning off their talent. Where Emmitt Smith would get his touchdown or 2 and Deion was able to get an interception. The Cowboys were just a better team before it came slowly apart the next year.

I thought that "goal line stand" was with Buddy Ryan's defense? Maybe there was more than one. I am a huge Eagles fan since I was a kid, and really got into watching the games when Buddy was head coach because of that incredible defense. Everything starts from a great architect when you want to build a sky scrappers or a state of the art building. Name of that architect was : JIMMY JOHNSON. investor was : Jerry jones. But the problem has been JERRY always thought bcz of him cowboys won and now he still thinks after 28 years that he is right. Just a shame and waste of quarter of a century. I could never thought this will happen to our cowboys. Wrong coaches after wrong coach Worst GM Worst VP A TO Z cancer.

I walked away from the Cowboys two decades ago. They became painful to watch! Jimmy was the football genius. Jerry was the financial genius. Together they were dynamite, separately, not so much! Tell me what credit I should give Barry , again? He didn't have then prepared for 2 seasons. Every single player on the team was already there. We know Jerry was GM, and he controlled everything. I like Switzer, but he MIGHT deserve .01% of the credit. They lost several winnable games during his era, including the '94 NFC Title game. They got lucky to beat the Steelers in the '95 SB. Jones deserves 1.99% of the credit. The assistant coaches 18%. The players deserve 50%, and Jimmy the other 30%. Herschel should get 3 rings, just for his trade value. Free agency ruined the game, along with the newer rules and the woke agenda. I never watch the NFL, anymore.

@rover71392 жыл бұрын
Somehow they are still tied for the 2nd most super bowls won... Ridiculous.
@keithlambert22512 жыл бұрын
@@rover7139 not really since a lot of other teams have been winning for the last 25+ years. Ever since the salary cap and free agency came in. It just took a couple years to go into effect. I mean since Dallas won their last one in 1995 - Green Bay - 2 (4 total) Denver - 3 Rams - 2 Ravens - 2 Patriots - 6 Bucs - 2 Steelers - 2 (6 total) Colts - 1 (2 total) Giants - 2 (4 total) Saints - 1 Seahawks - 1 Eagles - 1 Chiefs - 1 (2 total) There is all your SB winners since the SC/FA came in and Dallas won their last one in 1995. Only the 49ers stand out with Dallas with 5 and they haven't won the SB basically in as long as Dallas. Beyond the Patriots and Denver every other winning team has won only 1 or 2 Super Bowls. So it's really spread out more than people realize if you've had only 2 teams win more than 2 Super Bowls in 27 years. Js
@keithlambert22512 жыл бұрын
@@rover7139 also going along with my comment above, there's not been a back to back Super Bowl Champion since the 2003-2004 Patriots either. Going on 18 years there too. Almost 2 decades. In the last 22 years the game has surely changed.
@rover71392 жыл бұрын
@@keithlambert2251 you can't just dismiss 25 years of super bowl era to make a point.. that doesn't make sense .. what about Green Bay in the '60s the Steelers in the 70s the niners in the '80s.. you going to take their super bowls away to to prove your point... What about the Yankees in baseball you going to dismiss all their championships too because baseball has changed.. what about the Lakers and Boston that won all the championships in the 60s 70s and 80s... That don't count either because basketball has changed? SMH
@keithlambert22512 жыл бұрын
@@rover7139 I didn't dismiss or take away any other teams Super Bowls. If you notice in parentheses is Green Bay, The Steelers, The Giants, etc, I put the total wins. I'm saying in the 27 years since Dallas last won their Super Bowl in 95, other various teams have been winning. It's more spread out now. Which is what the league wanted with the salary cap and free agency. And in my comment to prove this is the fact that only 2 teams have won 3 Super Bowls or more in this 27 year period (Patriots and Broncos) and there's been no back to back champion since the 2003-2004 Patriots. I didn't dismiss anything, you just are not understanding what I'm meaning. Dallas is still tied with SF in 2nd place bc other teams are winning and those teams mostly only have 1 or 2 championships total. So bc none of them have 5 yet to tie Dallas and SF, naturally they're both still ranked in 2nd place with the Steelers and Patriots tied for 1st with 6 each.

@jyl818 Жыл бұрын
Yeah Aikman isn't going to throw for touchdowns when Emmitt is getting 20+/year. Most teams would prefer to run in the red-zone. Cowboys were unique because they were actually GOOD at running down by the goal-line. Why throw it in a crowded end-zone when #22 can just run it in?
@matthewbuckner4232 Жыл бұрын
Why would you throw with that offensive line. Brett Farve was in the west coast offense. Warren Moon and Chris Carter were all the Vikings had .
