As a Chesterfield fan, I remember this match because it was played on the same day as Middlesbrough v Chesterfield which finished 3-3 and it was a game which we deserved to win after Jonathan Howard's goal was mistakenly disallowed by David Elleray (we lost on the replay, obviously).

I was at home watching it on TV biting my nails, I was on holiday in Great Yarmouth in the holiday centre pub when we beat Middlesbrough in the FA Cup Final. The following season I was at the European Cup Winners Cup Final in Stockholm against Stuttgart, what a game with Zola the hero. CFC 56 💙💙⚽️⚽️💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦
