I made a comment on your first post but I just remembered. You can also try getting one of those OBDII readers that does live reads and see if something pops up when it stalls out.

I'm almost sure that is the CPS, crankshaft position sensor. Located on the bell housing of the transmission. Pain to change.

My jeep is doing the same thing, but I stick my key in the door and lock and unlock it. This the security feature, and when i go to start, it starts right up...

Still haven't figured it out. Sure wish I could. So many of us have the issue and no one has the solution. All the forums and videos still leave us guessing.

@@cnote001 hey man , I figured mine out . The wires coming out of the bottom of the coil that go under the motor toward the starter were smashed . It was causing an intermittent issue same symptoms as you . I cut the smashed portion out and re spliced . Problem solved . It’s a green wire .

Certain things are required to trigger the computer to reset, not sure what they are but if you don't do them then you won't get a consistent result. Try the battery wires, alternator, new battery, there is a vaccum line to the throttle or MAP or something that was cracked on another Jeep I read about. Test the vacuum. Fuel pump... there is supposed to be a 12 point list for stalling Jeeps.
@cornfusedatbest39802 жыл бұрын
Where would one find this 12 point list? Thanx in advance.

I had my crank position sensor replaced and that solved most of the stalling, I still have to replace the MAP sensor and the plastic vaccum connector (L shaped tube), I'm just being lazy because it hardly stalls now...

@@VenturaIT Hardly and "not" are two very different things. I've replaced the fuel pump and the 4-5 major sensors, fuel rail, and battery, beginning to think it's the ECM connection. This turd isn't even mine, it's a friends. I should be a friend and tell him to put a brick on the throttle and aim it toward the lake.😁

Yep, that's the first thing I mention in the video. Just a good temporary fix that might get someone home if their Jeep stalls on the road. Still looking for the permanent fix.
