We will always be around to keep you in check. 1995 was an ABSOLUTE JOKE. Sept 2019. Neb95 was #4 in ESPNs top 150 teams of all time (by 150 contributors). LSU 2019 will easily be #1, pushing Neb95 to #5. Neb95 beat teams 8 reg season teams with 8 8 8 8 8 5 5 5 = 55 losses. The other 3 reg season wins against * a 1st yr EVER coach with 56-54 record over 75% of his career. * a coach that retired 5-36 against top 10 teams * a coach that retired 123-121 and was 6-5 in 94 and 4-7 in 96. And get this (just calculated today 1.15.2020). In their 92 prior seasons, CO finished in the top 10, 5 times. their 93 prior seasons, KS finished in the top 10, 1 time. their 83 prior seasons, KSU finished in the top 10, 0 times. Only KSU appeared to be turning the corner. CO and KS have been almost as dismal as they were prior to 95. So, in a combined 268 seasons with only 6 top 10 finishes, what is the probability that all 3 would finish in the top 10 in 95? Yeah, unbelievably tiny. 1995 was a FREAKING FLUKE YEAR. The country as a whole reeked and the Big Easy benefited.
