I think you’re right on about the visceral driving experience of these era cars, and why I keep going back to them. Jay Leno wrote a great piece in the latest Hagerty drivers club mag on this very topic. Side note...jealous of those cruisy midwest roads. In Salt Lake, and the canyons are fun but I do miss my home Illinois country long cruises. Keep the videos coming! Glad you're enjoying the GTS

I love you channel but your car is running stock motor times and trap speeds. I doubt you have 650 HP with 124 trap speed. Is that a windshield cracked? What gears do you have?

The car is not 650hp. I've had it on the dyno, and I mentioned that in the video. It's about 550 at the flywheel, the dyno said 490whp... but dynos are tuning tools. These ran 12.20 @116-118 stock. With a 1.8' 60ft this car should go 11.45 or so, it has trapped 124.24. Keep in mind these are all dragy runs with slow shifts. On a good surface with these tires I'll run at the track in spring, my guess is 11.45 @ 125.5 or so. I haven't ran it since we tuned it. But it's about 7-9mph over stock for a 2nd gen GTS. No the windshield isn't cracked, you're seeing the integrated antenna that is in the windshield. Stock 3.07 gears.

Your right on the numbers that makes more sense, awesome car and you have to be happy with it so far for the price.
