Hello michael, i have the exact same car and am having some troubles with it. Maybe you could help? Its rather sluggish even though is smokes like crazy(fuel not oil) was that the same problem you were having? I just checked the cat to see if it was the exhaust but it seemed fine. I just checked my intake, and I have a good bit of carbon buildup but not nearly as much as you.

Yes It's likely the same issue, the intake cleaning is the easy part, the hard part is cleaning the cylinder head ports, It's a bit challenging because of where the ports are located. Just be sure to verify the valves are closed on the ports you are cleaning. After cleaning the intake and the head it really woke up. Don't forget to remove the intercooler piping and intercooler to clean that out as well...this vehicle had about a half quart in there!! That's a huge restriction as well

Delete the egr or routinely clean and run an inducton service.

Delete your EGR valve it's literally the only way. And then you send a letter to the manufacturers telling them that you have worked out there game
