1997 f250 7.3 oil cooler replacement

This is the job I'm tackling today for the same reason. Started it up yesterday, and it was puking oil everywhere. So, doing the replacement of seals, coolant change, and oil change with new fuel filter and a 6637 air filter. Bought two sets of seals in case I fuck a seal or gasket up.

@@michaelbenoit248 Mine wasn't terrible. I replaced the entire front end in my truck a couple weeks ago, and have been fighting with my alignment ever since! Can't find anybody that will put my truck on their rack! Lol

What was the reason for replacement? Was the housing cracked? Or was it just leaking?

On cold start ups it would puke out a tone of oil seals were bad

Oh, did you remove the fwd oil cooler assembly with gasket? In the video it appears that you didnt?

Did you use gasket sealer when bolting it back on? I always do with cooling system. But I've been told not to on the oil cooler.

i appreciate Yall , my 97 is leakin oil just discovered it , i knew i never had to add oil between changes until recently , i got a dumbass question , it look like ya left the front attached , which i think is brilliant , but does the tube need to be mark and put back together certain way , like it came out or does it matter . maybe mark the tube ?? Thanks !!
