1997 GMC Suburban Powered by a Cummins 6BT P-Pump 12 valve

In this quick test drive and walk around I show off some of the details of this one of a kind cummins swap diesel conversion. The vehicle started out as a 1997 K2500 GMC Suburban but now features a gun metal matte finish paint, custom Move bumpers, a cummins p-pump 12 valve 6BT and custom leather interior. It also has a 6 inch lift and 37x12.5R20 tires and XD series wheels.

Haha I just bought a 93 k2500 burb that was a one owner 89000 orginal miles on it basicly the whole rig is cherry even still got the orginal sales receipt from the day they bought it with the options they wanted..now the cool thing about it is the techinal owner was a doctor now the acual owner was his WIFE haha she babied this thing first day i got it i took her to see her first mud puddle haha. But my wife likes it as well. Even thou the 454 still runs like a top iv allways wanted a diesel so looking at my options

Where did you guys get you luggage rack? Use the alternator from the 6.5TD . The tach comes off the alternator on that motors setup .

how big of a headache is it to wire that motor in to this, I am thinking of wanting to do a expedition with one in it

The engine is simple to wire. The 4L80E Transmission as well as deleting parts of the FI wire harness that is not needed is time consuming. It is worth the effort as it is a perfect powertrain for this vehicle.

what bracket you use for ac and alternator

Factory Cummins high mount AC/Alt brkt. I fabricated the upper Alt support in order to retain the dodge upper water outlet. Alternator is a Delco 22si with an 8 groove pulley and tach terminal.
