Hi Jonesys :) nice build!! Is there any reason why there is always a Surburban and not the same years Silverado? I live in Norway and there are alot of the Surburban and Silverado but i would love to try and build a Silverado with the 5.9 Cummins. Is there anything different with the Silverado to think about or is it the same as the Surburban? Both have the 6.5 Detroit.

I own a 2000 GMC 2500 4X4 6.0L 4L80E, 3.73, G80 and someday would love to do the Cummins swap….

Another awesome cummins conversion . You guys do such a top-notch quality job. Unrelated but I was wondering if you have ever done a shop tour kind of showing how you have your lifts and shop layed out for efficiency and use. I am always intrested to see how others layout there work spaces and how the shop space is used for good ideas.

Thank you for such an in-depth review. You've done excellent work. I wanted to ask if your filter/regulator has its return line on the outside of the filter, and not the centre? I used a Corvette filter with Intake line on the outside pipe, which is 3/8", ,with the return line at 5/16" and coming from the centre pipe on the same side of the filter. Is yours the opposite?

Do the stock steel heater hose lines above exhaust man get deleted with this kit? Also wondering what the best alternator set up for correct tach RPM. If I install the dodge 8 groove pulley on my 1998 6.5 alternator will I still need to dakota digital to calibrate? called local Automotive electrical shop and the short of it was the rpm from an alternator in the case of the GM Alternator will only give correct RPM if it has same amount of poles as the Dodge unit? Needless to say the conversation was fast and above my paygrid. Anyone that has done this pls reply Tks

67-72 Chevrolet trucks are definitely my favorite style. Had a 72 in high school. It was a "beater" but I have a lot of good memories surrounding that truck. This build is amazing.

Perfect. I was just looking at my modified engine in my Vette. My brand new radiator hose is coming nowhere near where the old (TPI) outlet was. This is just the info I needed. Never saw those Gates Shrink Clamps before. The only thing missing was I would have liked to see how that bead was rolled into the pipe. I'm pretty sure I've never seen bead like that in an exhaust shop.

My car is 28 years old now as has 266,000 miles on it. Would you believe I've never had this problem? LOL But maybe I should clean my TB anyway? It couldn't hurt I reckon.
