My dad was born in 1948, the last year before 97 when Michigan won a NC. After U of M beat OSU my dad made his donation to th alumni association and bought tickets to the Rose Bowl. We went and didn't even really enjoy it we were so nervous. We were just relieved they won.

Washington state had a way more explosive and better offense then one dimensional Nebraska . The Michigan defense would have dominated that option - the speed and athletes were great and Michigan had one of the best defense's ever . Nebraska got a sympathy vote for osbourne .
