The 1997 Quiksilver Pro G-Land was the last time the Championship Tour visited Indo's remote and mysterious left. Longtime tour powerhouse Luke Egan took home one of his four career wins, beating out G-Land standout Tom Carroll and Vetea "Poto" David, the first Tahitian surfer ever to qualify for the CT.

Occy describing; at 36 minutes or so, getting bogged down with long tail/board dimensions is when the short board for big barrel revolution began. We just watched a new design paradigm being born. These videos are gems, keep em coming please surf gods
