I definitely prefer these videos than brand new automatic cars, keep the good work joe!

Still robust after 25 years and 400000km. Old Toyotas are legit bulletproof.

Yeah. You can't kill these things no matter how hard you try. My dad used to own the first gen Avensis when I was little - by my memory, I think he said he clocked 700K with the thing and it never let us down. If I'm lying or not, idm, but the car was great. Toyota 4ever! 🥰💖🤗

It’s amazing that such a big truck has only a 90hp diesel, the gear ratio must be really high.
@Snufkin8122 жыл бұрын
Yes. It is really slow when 1~2 tons of cargo is loaded. Most of the older Japanese trucks cannot reach speeds above 110 km/h.
@xnopyt132 жыл бұрын
@@Snufkin812 makes sense since the Japanese national speed limit is 100 (iirc)
@indenturedLemon2 жыл бұрын
yes, and iirc its a dogleg box and most truck driver rarely even use 1st because it is so low its basically useless in most cases
@Snufkin8122 жыл бұрын
@@xnopyt13 That's correct. This type of vehicle is designed for the road environment in Japan. The Japanese roads are narrow, winding, and there are many mountain roads, so the speed limit is lower than in the US or Europe. Therefore, high-speed driving was not taken into consideration when designing the vehicle. In particular, it is not recommended to run at high speed because there is no crumple zone in case of an accident and it is dangerous.

Japanese trucks in Europe are rare! Japanese commercial vehicles from the 80's and 90's are slow and underpowered but very sturdy. Such trucks are still popular in many Asian countries.

Yeah, I have one, went to a dino just for fun before rebuilding the engine at 220800km, (my dad went over a log) bad boy was doing 102hp, god knows what was going on in there, but somehow the thing was doing 23hp over stock. Anyway, max speed was 140

Hi Joe, er what can I say, Is that your daily driver 'cause that's just what I need for the wife's monthly shop. Good old work horse, bet that engine develops a lot of torque for it's capacity, now go and sit quietly somewhere and let the blood pressure come back down. Brilliant variation in vehicle choice, great stuff Thanks Joe. PS. Any chance of a highway run in a Sherman Tank, just asking.

Is it listed as a van or a truck? I mean, do you need C category for that or you can just drive with B.
@pedrocarrola88002 жыл бұрын
On my country most of them are rated at 3500kg so that people with B license can drive, but you can have it aswell with a 7.5t registration, the only diference is the papers, the chassis and engine is the same, my dad has a 1990 Dyna 250 with the 3.4D 3B engine and you can drive it with regular B license, the diference is when you buy it in how you want to register it
