How ironic that Jim Mora Sr, the color commentator for NBC in this game, would then become the HC of the Colts the following season. This was his last broadcast with NBC. And the final Sunday for NBC calling Sunday afternoon games for both the 1pm and 4pm window.

going into this the Colts had won three of their last five and came close to winning their way out of Peyton Manning.

Packers overlooked this Colts team in November looking too far ahead to their game against the Cowboys at Lambeau. Beat the Jets at the Meadowlands and the Dolphins in Indy the previous 2 weeks and the Vikings decided to take them seriously.
