Love the 728i, I own the same car as 735i, the inline 6 felt low power for me hahaha but the motor is SUPER smooth and silent!!! Amazing technology they made back then I would never go back to driving more modern cars. Everything in these old Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and Audis feels like it was made with more thought and better quality than now!!! No offense to anyone driving modern cars though, they are also nice in their own way I just prefer cars that don't tell me how to drive and instead focus on letting me drive!

Indeed it is a very nice car, unfortunately I didn't own any BMW so far and couldn't tell first hand what issues they have and what to look for. There some pretty good channels on YT that specialize on BMWs and you can find a lot of good info there

M52B28 не самый хороший и надёжный двигатель, но уж лучше большинства новых 1.5, 2.0, 2.5)) у меня был е36 2.8) ну а сам e38 - один из ЛУЧШИХ кузовов в мире. до сих пор смотрится круто! это как классический дорогой костюм, который НИКОГДА не выйдет из моды. надеюсь, когда-нибудь возьму такой и сделаю из него конфетку в стоке с новыми деталями)

Still is IMO the most reliable of the E38 engine range, not the most fuel efficient or powerful, but easier to maintain than the V8's and V12 and generally more reliable. Iirc it's also the engine used for the e39? Don't remember exactly. If you want a cheap BMW luxury sedan with a most dependable motor, choose the 728.

I have a chance to get one 1998 728i Singapore import, there are only 4 in my country of that specific model. Are the Singapore import viewed the same as the Germany imports?

It depends how well it was maintained, check compression, I think it can do 500k km
