Dude, this video just saved me a whole ton of work on my daughter's car. I couldn't figure out how to get the blower motor out and thought I was going to have to take the entire dash apart. Who would've thunk it?!? Just a twist. Amazing. One little side note, there was a tab I had to push in to twist the original motor out, in case someone might need to know. Thank you for the video!!!

You can drop debris (paper, small bit of plastic) down the vent and it can get sucked into the blower motor fan if it does not have a filter. If that is not the situation then the blower fan could be coming a part (cracking) and when it spools up the fins will contact the housing. Just some ideas.
@dosbox9079 жыл бұрын
yeah possibly. I'm leaning towards bearing noise from within in the blower, since it's intermittent. either way, I gotta get in there and see what the hell is going on regardless.

I wish Ford would make their minds up. Sometimes even the simplest things can be near on impossible and then you get things like the rear window and the blower motor which were deceptively simple. This series has been incredibly nostalgic for me, my dad owned a Mondeo in the mid 90's till 2005. We went from a Morris Ital estate (British manufacturing at its finest... lol) to a mid 90's ford. It was like another world. It was such a quiet and refined ride. It had power steering, a sunroof and electric front windows and no squeaky leaf spring suspension.

The reason why the "Contour" sail panels are there is because the Mk1 Mondeo originally had vents there and there was ducting in the C-pillar and into the cabin. They were notorious for leaking so in the facelift, AKA the Mk2 Mondeo and the Contour you have there, the C pillar ducting was removed and filled in and a solid sail panel was fitted in its place, so only minimal changes were needed to be done to the stamps and dies. And yes, the rear windows only roll down that far due to the design of the door. Also the Mk2 doors were ace for being able to fit 6x9s without having to really cut anything out, however I had 6x9s in the front doors and 6.5 inch components in the rear doors. Had some damn good audio quality

Eric, I know this is an older video by now, but I have been re watching the fixing it forward series because I love them so much, and I noticed something I just had to share. If you watch back where you first show us the new piece of glass 13:17, you will see the the glass is already scratched before you tried to put it in. You can also see it at 13:32. At first I was like dam Eric like this silicone spray a lot how good can it be? Now I've tried it and I wonder where it's been all my life. I absolutely love it its so usefull on anything rubber. Instead of having to pull and tug and curse at rubber fittings until you either win, fail or give up on them. All you need to do is give them a good squirt with the silicone spray then everything just slides together it's awesome.

Air con's are tricky buggers, if you don't use them regularly they get moldy and start to smell. Also your working on the mk3 Mondeo I've got a mk4 and the AC is used to de-mist the front screen at start up and to keep the screen clear whilst driving. By the way, it takes dedication to get a back door card as dirty as that, was he using the car as a barn?

This and other channels like Scanner Danner and Chris Fix are better than those tv shows that come on Saturdays and Sundays on Spike and Velocity because they are not filled with commercial advertisement within their program. Yes, you do advertise places like Pull-A-Part, Car Part Kings or Advanced Auto but you are not like those tv shows that pick up a part and mention the tool maker or store that they got their parts from. Keep doing what you are doing and your subscriber numbers will continue to increase.
@DavidPlass9 жыл бұрын

+David Plass What I'm saying is that they should be done like when they a sporting event on regular tv. They have several minutes of sports action. and no mention of any sponcer. And at every chance, they get, go to commercial and have spots for their promoters and other things. If those 30 minute infomercial shows were like sporting events shown on tv, those tv shows would be that much better.
