Thank you for the video! Helped me with my 2014 Honda Accord (coupe) V6, EX-L. There were a few things different, obviously, but your video gave me a ton of helpful information - also the confidence to go for it.

A couple of things. Not sure if you had drained the oil from the transmission before removing the pot joint as no oil appeared to drain out. Also, I would be changing the oil seal in the transmission as you run the risk of the new shaft leaking and having to pull it all out again. Plus, I would apply grease to the outer cv joint where it meshes with the wheel bearing oil seal. I personally would have just changed the outer cv joint and boot, assuming it will split (as some won't), which saves disturbing the inner pot joint and seal. Enjoyed the video 😊

All 5 of my kids got Honda Elements when they turned 16, and still have them ! I also got a second vehicle for my wife which is also an Element, and I have 3 myself, so if you are counting, YES, I own 9 Honda Elements at the moment.

I know this is an older video, but my related experience is fresh. I just wasted 300+ dollars on a "big red" engine hoist. I was needing a way to pick up a vw engine ( I know they weigh "only" 200-250 lbs, but I don't have the arm span or back to pick mine up, and I'm COMPLETELY by myself). I thought I could hoist the engine up, mount the head tube in the 4 legged engine stand, disconnect the hoist, and be on my way. No way however, would the darn engine hoist legs clear the engine stand legs, and vice-versa. The only good outcome of this failure is that I didn't drop the engine. I set it back down, folded up my $300 paper weight, stuck it in a corner, and went back to the drawing board. I'm sorry this and much worse happened to EricTheCarGuy, but it looks like due to his ingenuity he was able to find a solution.

Dont forget folks...the honda blue A02 filter is junk, made by fram. Theres plenty of other filters out there that are much much better. Wix xp, Baldwin, Purolator boss, o'reilly brand micro guard. Or if you dont care just buy a cheap fram, and save yourself some money.

Instead of removing the head...cant you just remove the valves themselves without removing the entire head as well still on the engine?

Interesting you decided to make a video on this because as a matter of fact, I am having the same exact issues with the clutch pedal on my 2005 CR-V. I do know that the previous owner had the clutch hydraulics replaced, but I don’t believe that the hoses were ever done so I’m definitely going to replace those. I’d also like to upgrade the rubber hoses to stainless steel-braided lines as well. But I am having that creaking noise when releasing the clutch pedal from inside the car and I’m also noticing that there is an audible squeaking noise coming from outside the car as well whenever you depress the clutch pedal. When I first bought the car, I did remove the clutch pedal assembly and sprayed down the innards of the release spring with lithium Grace and that did seem to help but now the noise is back again, so I’m thinking the slave cylinder and possibly the clutch master cylinder may just need to be replaced yet again, so that’s great. Anyways, maybe I’ll install the same kit that you got for your element.

What happened to the air inside the black and red lines? You purged the yellow line but not the blue and red lines.

Been contemplating doing this on my 06 Element. Glad to hear some REAL feedback from someone who's actually installed the K-Tuned and what all it took to get it to work. I was JUST about to drop the $$$ on some of these parts too. Your videos "came in clutch" for me. 😎 Thanks, E!

I always attach a clear piece of hose to the bleed nipple and loop it up and into a bottle. With a case like this with new parts, you could stick the other end into the res and just pump away.

My buddy converted his odysee to a 6 speed, he ended up using a hodge podge of factory Honda parts, off memory I believe he used a 99 civic clutch master and a Type R slave, nothing that he got from k-tuned worked for his swap.

01/05 civic master and 02/06 crv slave Is the same part that ktune uses. If you wanna save money. Available on Amazon for 50 for both. Add a braided tuck clutch line, and you have the same kit. As always great video. Recently did same thing on my tsx. Element looks way easier.

If you leave the old slave cylinder in place, I'll bet you the firmer pressure that the new master cylinder generates will blow out the old, worn-out seals in the slave.
