I don’t know about where you live but farther north where I live we always have to lubricate the caliper slider bolts. They have a habit of seizing up due to road salt and other contaminants that they are exposed to. I also like to torque the lug nuts with a torque wrench but that’s just me. Thanks for the video.

Hey Kcender. We live in Upstate SC. Not much snow here. Maybe a day to 3 or 4 and not every year. I can see where a snowy area would need the bolts lubricated. Probably would be a good idea here as well. If I remember next time we will do that. Thanks. Also a torque wrench is a good idea on the lugs. I have done quite a few over the years and feel pretty comfortable doing it by feel but its not full proof. Never had a problem though. Thanks for watching!! Terry

in Australia we lube the bolts up because of the dust, our dust contains things from rust partials to even microscopic diamond not many people realise that part of Australia... red=iron, green=copper

Dear Terry, Thank you very much fo your courteous & hearted reply. May I be s bold as to suggest that you let everything rot until the house is done, thus you'll have plenty to make how to videos afterwards. I do realise you will no longer be popular with Her Ladyship for quite some time, but that's the price Super Heroes have to pay to keep their worshippers/fans happy. Who knows Mr Stan Lee might come knocking at your door???Kind regards to all of you.

We are close to starting our houses now. Its a long story but our main source of income has decided, out of the blue, to retire from building. Very unexpected and its bitter sweet because we should have time to get our houses built but with little income so during that time we will be working toward the poor house. Either way the houses will be built and we should be debt free. Lucky for us we save for times such as these. What we really need right now is people sharing our KZbin channel so we gain more subscribers. The more views we get the more KZbin pays us. It takes many views for little pay but every little bit helps. That is one reason we try to do everything ourselves. The old saying "A penny saved is a penny earned" rings true to us. I have saved countless thousands over the years by fixing everything myself. Brian is doing the same. It pays off. Terry

Dear Terry, Thank you very much for your courteous & hearted reply. You are a man after my own heart; I too tend to do most things myself whenever possible & only source outside help when I am really in a pickle. There is an old saying: " one is never better served other than by oneself". You carry on doing what you fine folks do best & we'll suffer it until you're good & ready. All the very best of luck with your finances ( let's hope one of your clients gives you a massive tip for job well done). Kind regards.

We miss being here when we get busy with our real jobs! I wish I could see some of that fall weather up north. The tree colors are amazing. Down here its pretty much turn brown and drop to the ground with the exception of a few species. We are nearing the house stage. We have a couple of big housing jobs to finish up then we should be rolling on the foundations! Crossing our fingers and praying its sooner than later. Terry

Hi Terry, excellent job!! I had a few tips you might like. You may have done all this off camera if so disregard tips LOL. I cleaned the rotor mounting surface with a wire brush and then apply thin coat of anti seize Grease. Also clean and Grease slider bolts with caliper Grease. And use one lug nut to hold the new rotor in place while reasimbling. I'm no expert I got these tips from watching many videos on brake jobs. Love your videos, very informative. 👍🤠

I'm amazed when I see people that discover they don't have E-brakes, I keep saying "MY GOD! YOU USE THOSE TOO???" as if to say, everyone rely's on the parking brake pin in the transmission, I feel that it's cheaper to replace brakes than transmission but I guess those that are lazy tend to ignore the basic features of all cars, no... not cruise control... something that also is on one of the first cars, a parking brake

I use mine every time I park, when they work, ha ha. I wish more people used their cruise control. It drives me crazy going down a highway and having some fool pass me down the hill then slow up the next hill and fall behind only to pass me again down the next hill etc...... Terry

@@ForestToFarm my car's so old it is 1 generation away from being standard but I didn't have the cash to put into the generation after... A difference of a grand, but I did buy a car that runs off propane as well

I actually like a stick shift. I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler that is standard shift. Its a beast when in low range 4x4. I would like to convert a car or truck to use producer gas. We have lots of wood around. Terry

Hey Leol! There is nothing I will not try, ha ha. When I grew up we had very little. My father had a heart attack at a very young age. I was 8. If I wanted things to work I had to fix them myself as we had little to no money. I did this out of necessity. I look back and am very grateful that I had the motivation to learn how to do things. My father did just about everything as well and then my step grandpa taught me lots. Also an old man next door also taught me a lot about fixing things. We take much satisfaction in doing our own repairs/work. Saved a small fortune over these 56 years. Terry
