May not have been the Motocross bike the US were after but the 1998 enduro model was the 1998 World Enduro Championship winner. I've got an Australian Delivered 1998 EGS 250 and still runs like a dream.

KTM has been dominating since the 80's. I bought my first in 88 because I was tired of losing to them. Always had a podium after that

You're not kidding about the headshake . I had one of these . The best way I can describe it is violent , and you couldn't tune it out with sag or anything . I sold the bike with deceleration headshake being the primary reason for doing so .

Great video as always. I remember reading somewhere that KTM wanted Ohlins to produce the PDS shock for 1998 but they declined. KTM instead turned to WP but Ohlins wouldn't give KTM/WP the permission to produce the shock according to the original patent (which was British if I recall correctly). Therefore WP made a somewhat different design. I'm just going by memory here so I could be wrong. Didn't the Cannondale have a similar setup but made by Ohlins? Speaking of which, the Cannondale bikes would be great to see a video on.

My best mate had one of these, and I remember it having plenty of power but everything felt stiff and hard and it had a ringing vibration. The thing was so rigid.

I owned a 96' 250EXC. Didn't KTM stand for Katoom? Been many many years. I grew up with Pentons and Rickmans. Can you do a vid on my 99' YZ250? the 1st year they used the new motor.

I knew a guy named Carlos who had that 97 360sx. He pulled stumps out of the ground with that bike. The bike was good if you ran out of firewood
